Employee Awards & Recognition Program

An effective recognition program increases employee engagement, satisfaction and morale. It drives performance and encourages innovation. How leadership rewards employees communicates and reinforces organizational values and priorities. Recognition needs to be personal and meaningful to the individual, timely, appropriate and public. Awards should be based on performance or act, not pay grade or location. Awards should be equitable. The employee recognition committee attempted to keep these principals in mind when developing a system for Arizona.
